Meet the Priests

Father David T. DeJulio, was born in Albany, New York. He is one of five boys and has a twin brother Frank.  He moved to Florida in June of 1978 and obtained a degree in Finance from the University of South Florida. Worked in banking for a short time and eventually entered the seminary in 1985. Ordained at the Cathedral of St. Jude on May 19, 1990 by Bishop Favalora. First assignment was at St. Paul's, St. Petersburg until 1993. From 1993 to 1996, Administrator of St. Jerome Church in Indian Rocks Beach, and finally Rector of the Cathedral of St. Jude from 1996 to June 2003. In his spare time he enjoys golf, reading, going to movies, and eating pasta!  Please take a few moments to read Fr. David's Stewardship Dream and about his personal Stewardship Journey.

Father Ed Lamp   FrEd@StMarkTampa.org
Father Ed, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey.  He moved to Florida in March of 1971.  He graduated form Saint Anselm College with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and eventually obtained a Masters Degree as well. He worked at Saint Francis Hospital, Miami Beach and eventually entered the seminary in 1976. He was ordained at Saint Leo Abbey on May 1, 1982 by Bishop J. Keith Symons, Auxiliary Bishop of St. Petersburg.  His first assignment was at St. Vincent de Paul, Holiday, until 1986, then Nativity in Brandon until 1987. From 1987 to 1997, he was Pastor of Saint Anne, Ruskin, and from 1997 to 2002, Pastor of Saint Peter Claver, Tampa.  He is presently splitting his time between St. Mark in Tampa and his place in Mexico.


Father Carl Last    FrCarl@StMarkTampa.org

Father Carl grew up in Milwaukee, the second of nine children.  He attended St. Francis de Sales Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1969.  After ordination, he served as Associate Pastor at a Parish in Milwaukee.  He then attended the University of Notre Dame where he earned a post-graduate degree in Liturgical Studies.  Returning to Milwaukee, Father Carl established the Archdiocesan Office for Worship and served on the faculty of St. Francis Seminary.  In 1976, Father Last was asked to direct the National Office of the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions in Washington, DC.  In that post, he also served as a consultant to the Bishops’ Committee on the Liturgy of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.  After serving in those positions for five years, Father returned to Milwaukee where he was appointed Archdiocesan Director of Continuing Formation for Clergy and faculty member at St. Francis Seminary.  Beginning in 1986, Father Carl served as pastor for various churches in Milwaukee and in 2001 he was named thirteenth rector and pastor Milwaukee’s historic Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, a position that he held until his 'retirement' in July of 2011.  He has been assisting at St. Mark since then.

El Padre David T. DeJulio, nació en Albany, New York. Padre Ed Lamp, nació en Jersey City, Nueva Jersey. Se mudó a la Florida en marzo de 1971. Se graduó de Saint Anselm College con Licencia en Enfermería y en donde eventualmente también obtuvo una Maestría. Trabajó en el St. Francis Hospital, Miami Beach y, finalmente, ingresó en el seminario en 1976. Fue ordenado en la Abadía de San Leo el 1 de mayo de 1982 por el obispo J. Keith Symons, obispo auxiliar de San Petersburgo. Su primer trabajo como sacerdote fue en San Vicente de Paúl, en Holiday, Florida, hasta 1986, luego en Nativity Church en Brandon hasta el 1987. De 1987 a 1997, fue el Pastor de Santa Ana, Ruskin, y de 1997 a 2002, el Pastor de Saint Peter Claver, en Tampa. Actualmente es Capellán Católico en el James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, en Tampa, donde puede hacer las dos cosas que más le gustan, el sacerdocio y la enfermería.
